Ingredients
  

  • "2 tablespoons vegetable oil"
  • "½ onion chopped",
  • "1–2 cloves garlic minced",
  • "1 pound lean ground beef"
  • "2½ tablespoons chili powder"
  • "1 teaspoon sugar"
  • "½ teaspoon cumin"
  • "1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce"
  • "3 tablespoons tomato paste"
  • "1 cup beef broth"
  • "3 tablespoons cornmeal"
  • "½ tablespoon kosher salt"

Instructions
 

  • "Heat oil and sauté onion until soft.",
  • "Add garlic and cook briefly.",
  • "Brown ground beef, breaking into fine bits.",
  • "Drain grease if needed.",
  • "Stir in all seasonings, tomato paste, broth, and cornmeal.",
